Statement of Purpose
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.” - Psalm 100
We, as members of the choir program, pray that our ministry of music might make hearts more receptive to the Lord, glorifying Him through the medium of fine, worshipful music.
We agree to devote our efforts to this end that we may participate fully in the blessings that come with accomplishment. We recognize the need to serve wherever needed and agree to do so.
We look to our director for music development and spiritual growth and to our choir officers for additional leadership.
All children Pre-k to 8th grade are invited to join our children’s choir program of Lake Avenue Church. The Choristers' programs are structured to encourage students in the following: musical skills and theory, drama and dance, being committed members of the church and what it means to serve through worship. We teach these things through rehearsals, performances in the church and community and musical productions! NewSong and Choristers sing in services and community events September through June, plus a Christmas and Spring concert.
Enrollment is free and open to all students.
