Crafts for a Cause is a key member of our Global Outreach Ministry, sending proceeds from their sales to partner in ministry with Rayak Church in Lebanon and to World Relief Cambodia. In Lebanon, 200 children who are refugees from the Syrian Civil War are assisted with schooling they would otherwise not have access to. In Cambodia, in rural villages, mothers who often have received little formal education are provided with tools to navigate and manage marriage, parenting and basic health in the context of small groups led by Cambodian Christian workers.
LACers Tilly and Gene Daniels first began repurposing used Greeting Cards, renewed and reimagined. Soon other artisan handicrafts created by LACers became part of the story and now, years later, these cards and boutique-quality gifts provide life-changing support for two church priority partnerships, advancing the gospel in Word and Deed! Your purchases on Sunday morning make all of this ministry possible.
If you would like learn more about the ministry, volunteer or support them by buying some of their hand-crafted goods, visit their table in the Worship Center on Sunday mornings, or find them at the Morning Break Bible Study.
And if you love making crafts, jewelry, etc, we would love to have you join us on Saturday afternoons on campus in Hutchins Hall Room 403 as together we work on varoius projects and share in each other's lives. It is service and community all in one, connecting you with both a fellowship community here and the work of God there!
