Something amazing happens when we pray. There is tremendous power that flows through praying for and with others. Here at Lake we are experiencing the power of prayer and we invite you to share a partnership with Christ through our intercessory prayers so together we can become a House of Prayer.
Prayer Ministry
The Goal of the Prayer Ministry Team
- To pray for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those who come for prayer after the services
- To pray for those who submit written requests
- To pray for those requesting prayer online
- To provide deliverance through Freedom In Christ
- To connect with those who receive Christ
- To Keep our congregation informed and equipped for prayer
- Opportunities and prayer gatherings
The Prayer Ministry Team
- Worship Intercession Team (serves during the worship service)
- Personal Intercession Ministry Teams (Serves every other month at the end of worship services)
- 24/7 Hotline Ministry Team (Contact for prayer is made by email or by phone 626.817.4597. Each request is forwarded to team members)
- Written Request Intercession Ministry Team (Cards are collected and sent by email to intercessors who pray)
- New Believers Connection Ministry Team (Team members are contacted by the leaders who have received Christ)
- Freedom In Christ Ministry Team (one on one session with a trained facilitator)
Prayer Serving Opportunities

Prayer Gatherings
All Church Prayer Gatherings/Trainings are occasionally hosted by Prayer Leadership Team. Team comes to listen, instruct, pray, intercede, and experience the power of God through prayer. All Church Gatherings are scheduled on the church calendar
Circle of Intercession are identified members with a calling for prayer and intercession for Lake Avenue Church. Prayer requests are sent via email ().
National Day of Prayer is observed at Lake the first Thursday in May each year and is hosted by the Prayer Leadership Team. Members of the PLT facilitate segments of prayer which focus on our nation’s needs.

Alternatively, you may also fill up a Confidential Prayer Card found in the pews or literature racks. You can drop the prayer card in Prayer Requests Box in the worship center lobby & in FL 107 (Prayer Room) or at the Reception Desk.
