God has created our world rich with diversity, where each person is beautiful and distinct. The LAC church family is only truly complete when it includes people of all ages, any type of disability, gender and race into the life of the church so that each and every one of us can share the gifts and grace that has been given by God to enrich our family. The mission of the Beyond Barriers ministry is to include people with disabilities in the life and work of the church while building supportive relationships of love - to reach out and help families and individuals find the best fit for both growing in their faith and for exercising their spiritual gifts. The Disability Ministries serve to bring the message of the Gospel to adults and children with various developmental abilities through programs like the Shepherd's Class, braille translations and sign-language.
