Club 45 is a ministry designed to meet the needs of our 4th and 5th grader students. Every Sunday, these 4th and 5th graders come in Hutchins Hall 305 with eagerness and energy. For the first few months, as a group they were so excited to be in a new room with all their friends; they thought they would be able to jump off bleachers, and play foosball. They quickly learned that the leaders were quick to stop the jumping and would always win foosball.
Something began to take shape among the students and leaders. Something beautiful that can only be accredited to God. These students began to control themselves. They would sit down in small groups. They would cry about being bullied, or about their parents’ divorces, or how they couldn’t understand where God was in front of their peers.
God has blessed this church and this ministry. As His Spirit fills every room in this place, there is something special about these 4th and 5th graders gathering to hear the Word of our God. The desire to know about God and understand this giant mystery of an everlasting love can be seen by correctly using the students’ eagerness and natural energy. It is truly incredible to see such an ethnically and socially diverse group of students gather under the one thing that can unite all people: the call to love and worship Jesus.. The Spirit fills the halls of this church. The students of Club 45 are building a foundation that will continue to encourage many others to bear fruit.
