VBS . . . here we go again . . . ! In seven short weeks, (approximately 1,200 hours from now) we will be embarking on another AMAZING week of VBS! This year we will be on a “Stellar” adventure, a cosmic quest, where kids will have a blast shining Jesus’ light to the world. Stellar rockets kids on an out-of-this-world adventure that’s light years of faith-building fun.
VBS has been a life changing experience for me each year. Each year I walk laps around the campus (my goal is 100,000 steps for the 5 days of VBS), each year I get to pray for hundreds of children who come to our beautiful campus each day, each year I get to purchase snacks and glue sticks and ice packs to prepare for full bellies, fun crafts, and skinned knees. Each year I learn more about Jesus and the love He has for His people. Each year I meet people who have been deeply impacted by God’s grace and through their stories I am forever changed.
It may be easy to say that VBS is for kids, and yes, it is designed to be for children, but there is so much more to what the kids experience. As a church we have welcomed 1,255 children on campus since 2019, and we hosted another 312 at home through a pandemic. But I will be the first to say, our staff did not do it alone . . . behind those 1,567 children here on campus, were 571 volunteers . . . prepping, planning, praying, and ministering directly to each of those children (and their families). Vacation Bible School
June 26–30 • 9 am–Noon
LAC Campus
VBS is a one-week, fun-filled, half-day summer camp where kids learn more about the Bible and the unconditional love of Jesus. Through music, skits, games, stories and activities, kids will experience God in a whole new way. VBS is for kids age 2 (must be 2 years old by February 1, 2023) through kids entering 5th grade.
Cost & Registration:
Cost is $35 per child. We will offer a sibling discount for VBS. Each sibling is $20 until May 17. Registration and waitlist close on May 31, 2023.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We are seeking over 200 caring teens and adult volunteers! There’s something for everyone! Trainings are mandatory. Register and attend one of the following training dates:
- Sunday, June 4, 11 am - 12:30 pm (in person)
- Thursday, June 8, 7 - 8:30 pm (via Zoom)
- Saturday, June 24, 9 - 10:30 am (in person)
