What started out as a small ministry of the Adult Ministries Division was relaunched and set up to grow on April 29, 2023. Over 80 church members attended this event to hear about this relaunch and to find out ways they can support the center.
It is reported that one in five Americans suffer from some kind of mental illness and almost six in 10 get no treatment. The rates of burnout, anxiety and depression are at record high level, putting mental health at the forefront of social issues. The need for faith-based counseling is tremendous.
During the April 29 Re-launch Fundraiser, participants heard about the new vision of the center and future plans on how it will continue to provide a compassionate counseling at an affordable price.
The event also honored David & Nancy Olaver, Marv & Joyce Warman, and Cliff & Joyce Penner for their 30+ years of leadership in support of the counseling ministries.
Marriage Prep & Tune-Up Seminar
The Warmans, Penners and Del Goehners offered Marriage Prep & Marriage Tune-up seminar for over 30 years at LAC. They partnered with the Counseling Ministry to serve hundreds of couples since the 80s.

Divorce Recovery
Dave and Nancy Olaver have led this ministry since 1990. They say, “We feel that to heal from a divorce is a little bit more involved than just working through the grief process”.
Participants learn from their past and change things that need changing. This change will help them move onto the next step in life with an emotionally healed and healthier understanding, whether that includes remarriage or staying single.
