Eric & Anne Zander develop Christian Communities in a post-Christian world. In Western Europe, and even more post-catholic countries, it seems that Jesus is everywhere . . . churches, crucifixes, shrines, statues. It sounds like a very old story that has been told so often that no one cares about it anymore, or so few. Christ remains a mystery, THE mystery covered by centuries of religiosity.
The Zanders are Lake Avenue Church International Staff serving in Belgium developing new online webinars, coaching new church-planting projects, reaching to children, training leaders, preaching and teaching.
What is really important to Eric and Ann is "to live daily as citizens of the Kingdom in this corrupted world. Not try to escape it and live in a holy bubble but integrate it to impact it with our Kingdom footprint."
They reach out to the postmodern culture through unique opportunities. Eric started a church among motorcyclists. Eric joins them on road trips and teaches them about Jesus. He recently gave the Spiritual leadership of the bikers’ fellowship over to a team of the bikers.
The Zanders start new church communities among young families and youth. They disciple them and train them for leadership so that the group can then begin another church of new believers in this postmodern era where Christianity is a "mystery."
The Zanders also organize truckloads of supplies and food for Ukraine. They continue to fill semi-trucks filled with much needed goods to distribute to those in war torn areas.
The Zanders would like to add:
Thanks to the generosity of funds donated by LAC, Ukrainians received food and warm clothes, heating and bicycles to ride. Thank you from
the bottom of our hearts!
Thank you for praying for us and supporting us in this daily challenge. We also pray for your own Kingdom challenges in your own daily lives.
