We arrived at Lake Ave Church in February 2022. We are a Hispanic family that loves God and enjoys serving in the community. As has happened in other places, after the pandemic many churches stopped having children's ministries. This was our case.
As parents, the spiritual health of our daughters has always been a priority, so we began to pray to the Lord to be directed to a place where our daughters could learn more about Jesus and grow alongside other children in their faith. LAC provided us with that space. From the beginning, our daughters have enjoyed being a part of the children's ministry.
In May we went to the family camp and it was an extraordinary experience. Now in the summer, my daughters just didn't want VBS to end. They really enjoy being part of LAC and for us as parents that is a blessing. Thank you for letting us be part of this beautiful family and receiving us with so much love.
Shoe Drive • Aug.–Oct. 2022
Imago Dei Preschool is partnering with Funds2Orgs in the months of August thru October. Our preschool will be collecting gently worn children, men and women shoes from sandals, boots, heels, and sneakers! Our goal is to collect 25 (or more) clear garbage size bags with 25 pairs of shoes per bag. Then, bring them to our preschool office. The gently worn, used and new shoes that are collected by thousands of partners of the Fund2Orgs Group shoe drive fundraising brands are consolidated and shipped to many micro-enterprise partners around the world, where they are sold to small business owners for a low price.
