Questions for Reflection
Luke 2:36-40 and Luke 21:25-28
- Describe Anna’s situation (Luke 2:36-37). What disappointments happened in her life? What is her life focused on now? What is her reputation?
- Whom does Anna speak to? What are they searching for? How easy is it for you to speak of hope in the midst of hard times?
- How might some people feel at the end times (Luke 21:25-26)? And yet, what are we to do and why (Luke 21:27-28)?
- What do we learn about Jesus in Luke 2:38, and 40 and in Luke 21:27? How are Jesus and redemption connected? What do you hope God will redeem and make whole in our world? What do you hope God will redeem and set right in your own life?
- With whom do you feel God is calling you to share the good news of Jesus and redemption?
