Dear Church Family,
This week at VBS, we sang a song called Give it Away. The song speaks about how much God's love changes us and how we can't contain that love so we have to GIVE IT AWAY! It is a powerful thing to sing with 400 kids and over 150 volunteers each day about "giving away" to others what we have received from Jesus. This week the Scriptures take us to the same place our kids sang about all week. In 2 Corinthians, Paul is strongly telling the church to GIVE IT AWAY. We will see how a major aspect of following Jesus and having Him in charge of our lives means that we become people who are often and always being radically generous. Often we think about generosity in the church as it relates to money and giving (which it does), but we will also see that being radically generous means that all of who we are is made to share and to give away to the needs of those around us. I look forward to seeing how the Lord encourages and challenges us to GIVE IT AWAY.
