According to the United Nations, our world has not seen this many refugees on the move since World War II. There is confusion and unease politically at international and national levels.
But what about for the Church and Followers of Jesus everywhere? How should we think
about this crisis? This week in your times of personal spiritual reflection or in your small group, use these questions to stimulate learning and reflection:
- •How should I think about the refugee crisis as a Christian?
- •Is it different than the way others who are non-Christians might think about this?
- • What facts do I know?
• Where do I look for well-sourced facts?
• What personal stories and experiences do I know about refugees?
• What is the status of the gospel and the Church among various refugee peoples?
• Then take time to do the one thing we all can agree upon: PRAY. The prayer points could be almost endless; ask the Holy Spirit to lead and direct your prayers.
