Authority Established

Mark 1:21-28

1. Mark 1:22 tell us that the people "were amazed at his teaching". Can you share about a time you heard a teaching from Scripture that amazed you?
   
2. How is the authority of Jesus seen in the events of our text?
   
3. Review and discuss with your group the common or cultural definition of 'authority'. How is the authority of Jesus the same or different than that definition?
   
4. What does it mean that Jesus "taught them as one who had authority?" (1:22)
