Battle in the Wilderness
Exodus 17:8-16
- Put yourself in the shoes of the Israelites in the desert. How would you feel if God told you that you now had to fight the Amalekites after having gone through so much?
- Why do you think God got the Israelites to fight the Amalekites?
- Would you agree that there is an Amalekite inside each one of us? Are there any areas in your life that you would say is an Amalekite area – an area that God wants to deal with?
- Would you say that you've surrendered your life to God? Are there any areas of your life where you still live independently of God?
- Do you have someone or a group of people who can help support and pray for you? Have you done the same for others? Why do you think God gives us each other when we surrender to Him?
