What is God’s complaint against Israel in this passage? What has God done for them (vs. 4-5)? Why does he ask them to remember his faithfulness?
What did the Israelites offer to God in order to win His favor and make things right (vs. 6-7)? What religious behaviors or spiritual habits do we sometimes think might win God’s favor today?
What does it mean to act justly? To love mercy? To walk humbly with your God?
Which of these “requirements” of the good life do we struggle with the most? Why?
