Dear ,
As we approach the end of our fiscal year, we want to take a moment to reflect on our incredible journey this past year, share our upcoming financial needs, and look forward with anticipation to what God has in store for Lake Avenue Church. We are grateful to God as we have witnessed the working of His Spirit and His continued provision for us as a church. We have experienced so many amazing examples of God’s blessings. Some of the highlights from this past year include:
- Adopting the new covenant, replacing our Bylaws document to align us more closely with a Biblical vision for our church, and moving forward in unity and purpose.
- Increasing our commitment to discipleship, over 1100 participated in the Rooted Movement, leading to changed lives and deeper relationships with God.
- Placing prayer as a central aspect of our church and leadership through new prayer meetings and opportunities for release and transformation.
- Welcoming new visitors and members, adding to our numbers on Sundays, and joining us in God's work.
- Expanding our youth and children's ministries to nurture the spiritual growth of our young ones and witnessing young hearts surrendering to Jesus.
- Continuing our legacy of Global missions and increasing our focus on neighborhood evangelism, with nearly $600K given towards local evangelism to connect with the culture and share the good news with those around us.
- Restructuring our finances and operations to realign our budget, increase financial stability, and establish an honorary staff program.
- Increasing the stewardship of our facilities through new revenue streams.
I WANT TO GIVE A FISCAL YEAR-END GIFT
As of the end of July, we have received $5.1M towards our annual budget target of $5.9M. In order to meet our fiscal goal, $748K is needed by August 31, 2023. We ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us to give an extra gift, not only to meet these projections but to exceed them. We believe we are entering a new season, and that God is going to grow and use Lake in many ways.
Pastor Mathew has challenged us to become "walking temples of God," allowing the Holy Spirit to manifest His transforming power in and through us, and to let that light shine into the world around us. As we seek to shine that light in the coming year, we will intentionally build new missional communities, seek to equip the next generation, expand our online ministries, work towards a more cohesive mission strategy, and continue our commitment to growth and discipleship. It promises to be an exciting year!
