Hi families!
Just wanted to give you all an update about some upcoming staff shifts. April 20th, 2023 will be Ms. Kat’s (Katherine Charles), last day on staff. I know the notice seems a bit quick and abrupt, but we have been doing our best to try and extend Kat’s stay at LAC till July, but due to some unfortunate work visa issues, we were unable to make it work.
Kat has served our LAC family, faithfully, since May 2019. She is an amazing minister of the gospel, an outstanding listening ear for kids who need to process any of their life’s challenges, a hard-working employee, a master of classroom management, and overall, one of my favorite people! She will be greatly missed!
We will be informing the elementary aged children on Sunday, 4/16, and they will have some time to celebrate her. They will also have a time to write her a note or draw her a picture that will be placed in an album before she leaves.
On 4/21, the Club 45ers are invited to an All-Nighter to celebrate the end of the school year, and to spend some more time with Ms. Kat. (She has agreed to come back and volunteer for this event, I told you she was amazing!!!) If you cannot make it to the whole event, feel free to reach out for the evening’s schedule, so that you or your child can attend part of it.
I know that this is yet another hard shift! Please feel free to tell your children ahead of time, if you feel like it will help them process a bit. Also, please know, I am available!! Feel free to reach out and I would be happy to take your child out for some French fries or a milk shake so they can share whatever feelings they may be having about this significant transition! Praying for all of you as we share this news!
