The Road to Rebuilding and Community
Dear ,
This Sunday we continue in our fall teaching series "Return and Rebuild,” a Study in the book of Ezra with Pastor Mathew and the pastoral preaching team. We hope you have been blessed by the messages, fellowship, and efforts we have undertaken so far to rebuild and reclaim our bonds of community with one another.
This past September Pastor Mathew unveiled a new paradigm for building strong neighborhood communities with the launch of "Missional Community” Neighborhood Zones. There are events being planned in your area right now to help you foster community and connection in your neighborhoods. If you would like to find out more, please sign up by visiting our Missional Communities landing page.
PRAY PASADENA As part of our efforts to continue to make prayer one of our main priorities, we invite you to join with believers from Lake, other Pasadena churches, and area ministries to pray for Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley on Saturday, November 4 at 5:30 pm in our Worship Center. Randy & Edie Nelson, LAC international staff with Bridges to the Nations ministry, will be hosting this special event. Our focus will be to pray for revival in our own hearts, our churches, our city, and our region. We plan to corporately turn our eyes upon Jesus, to welcome the presence of the Lord, and to receive His plans and a greater measure of His heart for our city.
In addition to these all-church initiatives, we have several one-time, mid-week, and other ministry opportunities available on our website - and throughout our seasons of life communities. Here are just a few:
- Children's Ministries Pumpkin Palooza next Wednesday, October 25 - featuring kids activities including a bounce house, carnival games, a DJ and dance floor, costume competition with prizes for your best costumes, and a taco truck.
- Women of Lake half-day on-site retreat titled “Pursuing Peace” featuring a time of communal listening, sharing, and enjoying each other's company over lunch.
-
Veteran's Breakfast on Saturday, November 11 featuring guest speaker Colonel Charles Hwang
In addition, we offer Men's and Women's Mid-week opportunities, Young Adult Discipleship gatherings, morning and Wednesday Night prayer gatherings, Grandparenting groups, Family Ministries events, discipleship courses, membership seminar, baptism courses, and more. For all these and more please visit our Events page online.
Small Groups Opportunities If you would like to join a small group we invite you to visit our Small Groups Finder to see if there is one that meets your needs.
About Parking As we continue to return to campus and our attendance grows on Sunday, we ask, if you are able, to park at the Gateway Plaza in order to allow guests, families with strollers, our elderly, and those with special needs to park in the West Parking Lot. Thank you in advance for being a light to our neighbors and community by not parking on the streets.
