A New Season of Renewal and Community Building
Dear ,
Our primary focus during this season of renewal has been to redefine the essence of our church experience. We are intentionally moving away from a corporate structure to embrace the warmth and vitality of an organic community. At the heart of this transformation is our Missional Community movement, and I am delighted to announce that over 650 individuals have already signed up to be part of this incredible journey. If you haven't done so already, please identify your zone on the following map and text that number to 626.314.6962 or visit www.lakeave.org/mc for more information.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Missional Community team, diligently working to create events that will serve as vital threads, weaving us closer together as a community. This is a pivotal time for us as we rebuild and reshape our processes to better reflect the love and unity that Christ calls us to embody in this world.
In our pursuit of growth and community building, I am pleased to welcome Dr. Nick Barrett as the new Associate Pastor of Congregational Life. Additionally, we have elevated Jeremy Rose to Associate Pastor of the Worship and Arts division, with Beth Paz leading the Missional Outreach Division as the Associate Pastor and Tiffany Reynoso overseeing our business operations as the Executive Director. Now that our leadership team is in place, we are ready to support and serve you as we navigate this exciting new season. Together, we stand poised for a season of prayerful transformation with an upside-down leadership model which I shared this past Sunday during our service.
The upside-down leadership model featuring members of our ministry staff.
Our “Return and Rebuild” series is taking a slight detour from the book of Ezra to explore Haggai, Zechariah, and Esther in chronological order. As a special highlight, we will have the privilege of hosting Dr. David Immanuel Goatley, the new President of Fuller Theological Seminary, as our guest speaker on October 29. This promises to be a spiritually enriching journey as we delve into the timeless truths encapsulated in these rarely-read books of the scriptures.
Let us join hands and hearts to return and rebuild our community together. This is a season of renewal, and as we stand on the precipice of these exciting changes, let us be firmly rooted in prayer and unity.
Warm regards and blessings,
