One Blood, One Flesh, One Mission
Dear ,
I am grateful for the grace with which you received my three-week series, “One Blood.” Now, it is time to prepare your hearts and minds for “One Flesh,” (starting Sunday, August 13) where we will delve even deeper into the secular-sacred divide in our culture and explore the much-debated topic of human sexuality. Anchoring issues like racial reconciliation and gender identity on a solid Biblical foundation is no small task, and it requires a nuanced approach with conviction and compassion.
I invite you to join us at our next Fireside Chat this Thursday, August 3, at 7 pm in the Worship Center for discussions on "One Blood" and Thursday, September 7, for "One Flesh" also in the Worship Center. We must have a cohesive perspective on these pivotal cultural issues as we enter a new season of ministry at LAC.
Again, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support in raising $586K for our Neighborhood Evangelism Project. As announced, we will kick off the project with a "Pray for Pasadena" event on Saturday, November 4. Let us hear the heart of God as we conceive a strategy to reach out to our neighbors with the Gospel of Christ.
While we pray for our city, our commitment to Global missions remains unwavering, as reiterated in the "Missio Dei" series. Our adult classes are coming together under one umbrella to create a unified mission strategy for the church by pooling their resources. Our young adults are also preparing for a mission trip to Ethiopia, co-led by Tsega Worku and Beth Paz. I invite you to partner with them in this missional adventure by donating specifically to this project. To give to the Ethiopia Service & Learning Encounter Trip please give at the link below.

May we continue to grow in faith and love as we walk this journey together, inspired by God's grace and guided by His Word. Much love,
