Made New: A Study in Romans

God’s vision for all of us is that we become made complete in Christ. But how do we get there? Don’t we have such a long way to go? By ourselves we’ve really made a mess of things! And so often we have all tried to fix things, to make amends, and to right our wrongs, only ultimately to make things worse. We desperately want to grow in Christ-likeness but we need guidance and help. We need God. We simply can’t do this without divine intervention! Here’s where God’s Word in Romans chapters 5 through 8 comes in. There Paul outlines how it is that God moves us from where we are to where God wants us to be. Join us in this journey of discovery!

Arts Celebration Weekend

Next weekend, March 11 & 12, we celebrate Lake’s creative artists with our annual “Arts Celebration Weekend,” involving dozens of artists sharing their gifts and talents throughout the Worship Center Lobby. This is always a great time of community connection as we get to experience and affirm the visual, culinary, performing and dramatic artistic expressions of our church family. Also, within our worship services we’ll see live painting and a reflection through Spoken Word. This will be a very special weekend in the life of our church family. Plan to arrive early or stay after one of the services. Don’t miss this opportunity both to be inspired and to be an encouragement to one another.
