Hello Families,
We hope you are feeling well rested and prepared as the Fall Semester approaches. We know there will be a lot to juggle with school, sports, and events but we want to come along side our students and empower them in all that they do. If you have dates of anything like a recital, play, sports game, or ceremony for this upcoming season that we could come to and support our students at please send it to us so we can put it into our calendar.
We will be ON BREAK this week as we plan for the Fall season so there will be no Youth group tonight and we will be in the main sanctuary on Sunday.
JOIN US for our Fall kick off on August 16th for a Family worship night. This is a night for parents and students to worship TOGETHER and pray over each other as well as the coming season. It will be Wednesday the 16th from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Warehouse. PARENTS! We want you there, we want to build a culture of interconnectedness and we want you to be a part of the students spiritual formation as much as we are so please bring whoever you can on August 16th to Worship with and for our students.
Sunday - August 13th
As we will all be together in the main sanctuary for Sunday the 13th this month we want to let all you parents know that Pastor Mathew will be speaking on the topic of sexuality and identity. We believe this is a relevant and significant topic to address but also recognize that it is sensitive and heavy so we want to give you notice that it is coming up. We all need to wrestle with these questions and be prepared for the conversations that can arise from this topic, but we also recognize that you know where your kids are at in terms of maturity, growth, and understanding. Thus we see this as an opportunity for our students but we also want to let you discern whether your kids are ready for this topic.
Fall Fellowship Kick Off!
On Sunday, August 20th, we will be having our Fall Fellowship Kick off after church in the main patio area. We will have all our calendars to give out, ice-cream for the kids, and plenty of games on the lower patio for all the families to use. We hope you can join us after service and kick off the Fall season with a bang!
Help!
Finally, this is a call to anyone who might have, or know of someone who has, extra furniture, rugs, bookshelves, couches, and the like. We want our facilities to be welcoming and open to every unique and individual kid, but that is going to take some transformation. If we are going to do what we envision we are going to need all the help we can get! So message or call Rufus or Wesley (contacts to the right) and let us know if you have anything available.

Events to remember!
Night of Worship: August 16th in the Warehouse. From 6:30-8:30pm we will be kicking off our Fall semester with a night of worship and prayer. Parents are invited to come as well.
Fall Fellowship Kick Off: August 20th outside the Main sanctuary on the patio right after church at 11:00am. There will be snacks, games, and information on all events and programs for the coming season.
Reoccuring: NO REOCCURING EVENTS FROM AUG 1st-15th
These are the events happening every week.
Tuesday Night basketball: Every Tuesday in the Lake Avenue Gym from 5pm to 7pm. Middle-school, High-school and Young adults will be welcome to join and play sports intergenerationally.
Wednesday Nights: 6:30pm in the Warehouse and 8:30pm pick up in the warehouse. Games, worship, and small groups.
Sunday Mornings: 9:30am in the Warehouse and hangout as long as you want, we play games, have worship and have a sermon.
