Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well! There is a lot coming up so listen up and lets jump into this together. I'm excited to host our first Parent Meeting this year with Wesley coming up THIS THURSDAY (may 11th). This is for high school and middle shool parents so please be there thursday night from 6pm-8pm in MS 100 (that's the Maple Street building). Tell all the parents you know, we will be taking questions and talking about what's coming up but we also will be talking about social media and how it impacts our kids. Hope to see you all there! This is central for our parents to be engaged in the life of our student minstries so please come out!
We had a WONDERFUL Celebration Sunday this past weekend and a lot of kids volunteered which warmed my heart to see. Thank you parents for encouraging your kids to be a part of that. Kids were helping out with ushering, communion, scripture reading, and greeting! This will be a rhythm, the first Sunday of every month we will ask kids to help out in the main service so keep encouraging your kids to be a part. We are excited to see how this rythym will be for our students. If you are wanting our more ifnormation on how you want your kids to volunteer please just email me and let me know.
Finally summer is just around the corner and that means SUMMER CAMP!!! We will be going to Camp Pondo on July 3rd through the 7th. Both Middle and High-school will go up together but we will be doing different things once we get up there. We have 50 slots TOTAL so make sure to sign up and if you need financial aid just message me. Don't let money stop your kid from coming, we have scholarships!

Events to remember!
Parent Leader Meeting: MAY 11th from 6pm-8pm in MS 100 we will have a Parent meeting where us leaders can hear from and work with you parents to make sure your kids are getting what they need. We will also be providing a social media workshop to help us all get a better grasp of how to utilize and understand the main way this generation is interacting with each other.
GLOWCHELLA**: IS HAPPENING ON MAY 31ST!!!! From 6:30pm-8:30pm on Wednesday Night at the Warehouse. This will be our next big game night where we encourage the kids to bring all the friends they can from school. It will be a glow in the dark party with a glow in the dark disco, glow in the dark capture the flag and glow in the dark shoe painting! We hope to see you all there :)
VBS: June 26th-30th we will be having VBS for the younger kids. We need help from the middle schoolers, high schoolers, and you parents with volunteering because we expect a LOT of kids. So if you or anyone in your family is interested check it out on the Lake Ave Website and sing up as a volunteer.
Camp Pondo: SUMMER CAMP IS HAPPENING! July 3rd-7th at camp Pondo we will be having are summer camp with High-school and Middle school combined. Registration is open NOW!

These are the events happening every week.
Tuesday Night basketball: Every Tuesday in the Lake Avenue Gym from 5pm to 7pm. Middle-school, High-school and Young adults will be welcome to join and play sports intergenerationally.
Wednesday Nights: 6:30pm in the Warehouse and 8:30pm pick up in the warehouse.
Sunday Mornings: 9:30am in the Warehouse and hangout as long as you want
