High School students want to gift the classes of Galileans and Disciples with Daily Devotionals from My Utmost for His Highest!
In this season of uncertainty and constant change, we value how powerful relationships are, especially when there can be a generation of a difference! That's why High Schoolers want to connect with and encourage YOU. We believe that alongside Jesus' strength, we can get through this season - together.
Every week Daily Devotionals will be posted of a student reading aloud a chosen passage from Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost for His Highest." Our High School students were thrilled at the opportunity to serve your classes by reading a devotional, and hope that Jesus continues to meet you and maybe even surprise you along the way. Our prayer is for you to be encouraged by these devotionals, whether it's something you start at the beginning of your day, or end your day wiht them.
But it doesn't stop there...on November 7th from 5-7pm is a Bingo Night on Zoom that YOU'RE invited to! We want to create a space of fun, intentionality and prayer by bringing together your classes and our High School Students. It's completely free, and all we ask is for you to sign up here: https://www.lakeave.org/events/zoom-bingo?evid=2668
Be encouraged, and we hope to see you at our Bingo Night!
Pre-pandemic International Asian fellowship meeting in restaurants on Sundays. A service group related to WeWalk.
Since 1947, Lake Avenue Church has hosted a multi-denominational prayer meeting for men on Tuesday mornings. After World War II there was a call for men to gather in prayer for revival in our communities. In the prayer room from 6:30 to 8, every Tuesday, we pray in worship adoring God, we pray in songs and hymns, we pray for one another, and pray for revival in Pasadena and through many ministries globally. There is a short devotional provided by various men of the group and we also have an optional followup breakfast from 8 to 9, where we pray with the staff of Reyne Cafe two blocks up Lake.
It's a great blessing and little challenging. We currently have about 20 regulars with some stalwart seniors and some young mentorees from all walks of life and dozens of ministry associations.
All are welcome....
