Emil Tulcan has been at Lake Avenue Church since 2000. Prior to working at Lake, he was the director of communications at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in West Los Angeles from 1995 to 2000 and in the TV/Film Promotional Merchandise industry prior to his work in ministry.
Emil was born in Romania and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1975. Since then he has lived in Southern California. He went to school at UCLA where received a degree in Design. It was there that he met Teresa, his then-future wife.
Emil and Teresa have been married since 1993 and together have raised two children, Christian, who is 26, and Andrea, who is 23. They live in Glendora, California, where Teresa taught as special education teacher at the elementary and High School level.
Andrea, a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona works in the field of Advertising for a local marketing agency and lives in Pasadena.
Christian, also a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona School of Business, works at Northrop Grumman and lives in Costa Mesa with his wife, Casey Tulcan, a doctor of Physical Therapy works in her field in Newport, CA.
We are blessed to be able to see one another frequently and live life together.
