• Think back on seasons of your life when you were desperately looking for God. How did it feel when you could not find him? Can you remember a time when you did?
• Jeremiah 29 is a letter from God to his people Israel. What do God's promises and commands in this letter tell us about God?
• God's people were in a hard situation, but they were encouraged to live with purpose in their new city. What are some areas of pain and hardship in your life? What might it look like to find purpose in the midst of that suffering?
• Verse 13 tells us that when we truly seek after God we will find him. What sorts of things in our lives might stop us from really searching for God?
• What does this letter have to say to us today in our families, communities, and cities? How are we invited to seek God together and work for the good of our city?
