Read Ruth 3
- Sometimes in order to be obedient to God, we are called to put ourselves in uncomfortable situations. When was the last time your faith led you to do something that was uncomfortable?
- Naomi's plan for Ruth was well outside the norm for their culture. What risks was Ruth taking? What possible dangers was she exposing herself to?
- Ruth and Boaz found themselves in a situation where there was plenty of opportunity for things to go wrong. How did they display integrity? Where do we need to emphasize integrity in our lives today?
- As a foreigner and a widow, Ruth was an outsider in her community. By agreeing to marry her, Boaz demonstrated God's heart for bringing those on the outside in. How we can do a better job of showing God's love to the outsiders in our community?
- Boaz ultimately becomes the answer to the prayer that he prayed over Ruth in Chapter 2. How can you participate with God in anwswering the prayers you pray for others this week?
