Review the Sermon: Read Leviticus 20:7-8, 26

• In what way is the book of Leviticus relevant to Christians?
• Why is Holiness more about “where you are being” rather than “what you are doing”?
• What are the words used to describe the opposite of Holy? What are their implications?

Dive into the Scriptures: Read 1 Peter 1:13-25

• What does it mean for God to be holy? What does it mean for us to be holy?
• How does Peter describe our old way of life in verses 14 and 18? What did/does it look like for us to “conform to evil desires,” to live “in ignorance,” and to live “the empty way of life handed down from your ancestors…”
• In verses 22- 23, what is the relationship between holiness and obedience? What is the relationship between holiness and being “born again”? How about between holiness and love?

Live it Out:

• What obstacles keep us from becoming more holy?
• What are some of the “empty” ways of life and broken patterns that we often inherit from our families? How can we break free from this generational brokenness in order to step into a new, holy way of life?
• The Hebrew word for “Holy” is kadosh, which can be translated as “set apart.” What have we as Christians been set apart for? How then do we become more holy?
